Payment and Refund Policy

1. Payments

All lesson payments on the platform are processed securely at the time of booking. Learners must complete payment in full before a lesson is confirmed.

To ensure secure and transparent transactions:

  • All tutor payouts are processed exclusively through Stripe.
  • Tutors must connect and maintain a valid Stripe account to receive payments.
  • The platform does not issue payments through cash, bank transfers, or any method outside Stripe.
  • Payments are securely held until the lesson is completed or automatically completed, after which tutor earnings are released according to the platform’s payout schedule.

 

2. Lesson Cancellation and Rescheduling

Lessons may be cancelled or rescheduled up to 8 hours before the scheduled start time.

Requests made less than 8 hours before the lesson start time are considered late cancellations or late rescheduling and are subject to reduced refunds.

 

3. Refund Eligibility

Refunds are determined based on the time of cancellation relative to the scheduled lesson start time.

a. Cancellations within the allowed time (8 hours or more before the lesson)

Learners are eligible for an 90% refund of the lesson fee.

The remaining portion covers administrative, payment processing, and platform operational costs.

b. Cancellations after the allowed time (less than 8 hours before the lesson)

Learners are eligible for a 15% refund of the lesson fee.

This partial refund helps compensate tutors for reserved time and preparation.

 

4. Unscheduled Lesson Cancellations

If a learner cancels a booked lesson that has not yet been scheduled, a refund of 80% of the lesson fee will be issued.

5. No-Shows

If a learner fails to attend a scheduled lesson without cancelling in advance, the lesson is treated as a late cancellation.

No additional refund will be issued, and the tutor will be compensated accordingly.


6. Tutor-Initiated Cancellations

If a tutor cancels a lesson within the permitted cancellation window, learners will receive a full refund or lesson credit, at their choice.

Repeated tutor cancellations may result in account review or restrictions to maintain platform reliability.

 

7. Lesson Completion

Tutors may end a lesson only after a minimum of 15 minutes from the scheduled start time.

If a lesson is not manually completed, it will be automatically marked as completed 2 hours after the scheduled end time.

 

8. Refund Processing

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method used at checkout.

Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider and banking institution.
